FAQ
How does Rilo block apps?
Rilo uses Apple's Screen Time system. You pick which apps are Blocked, Limited (a set number of opens per day), or Free. When you open a limited or blocked app, Rilo checks in with you first.
Rilo isn't blocking my apps. What do I do?
Go to your iPhone's Settings → Screen Time and make sure Screen Time is on and Rilo has permission. Then reopen Rilo and re-pick your apps. Still stuck? Email us.
What's an emergency pass?
If you truly need an app, an emergency pass lets you in for a few minutes, even in strict mode.
How do I turn off strict mode?
Go to the You tab in Rilo. Loosening your limits takes a delay, so you can't undo it in a weak moment.
Does Rilo listen to me all the time?
No. Rilo only listens while you hold the talk button, and your voice never leaves your iPhone.
Where is my data stored?
Only on your iPhone. Rilo doesn't send your data to us or anyone else.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open your iPhone's Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Rilo → Cancel Subscription. Apple handles all billing, so we can't cancel it for you.
I got a new phone. How do I get my subscription back?
Open Rilo → You tab → Restore Purchases (it's also on the Rilo Pro screen), signed into the same Apple ID you used to subscribe. Your plans and progress are stored on your old phone, so they don't move over.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles refunds. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and pick your Rilo purchase.
How do I delete my data?
Open Rilo → You tab → Delete Account, or just delete the app. Since everything lives on your iPhone, that erases it all.
