Rilo Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 6, 2026
This policy covers the Rilo iPhone app and this website, rilo.one. Rilo is made by Ethan Dunn in Kentucky, USA ("Rilo," "we," "us"). The short version: in the current version of Rilo, what you tell Rilo is kept on your iPhone, and we never sell your personal information.
The Rilo app
Things you tell Rilo
- Your first name, goals, hobbies, plans, tasks, and anything you type, pick, or say in the app.
- In the current version, this is saved on your iPhone and isn't sent to us.
Your voice
- Rilo only listens while you hold the talk button.
- Your speech is turned into text on your iPhone.
Rilo's AI
- In the current version, Rilo's replies come from Apple's built-in AI, which runs on your iPhone.
Calendar (optional)
- If you allow it, Rilo reads the calendars on your iPhone to build your plan around your schedule.
Screen Time
- Rilo uses Apple's Screen Time system to block or limit the apps you choose and show your usage. Apple handles this data on your iPhone, and Rilo can't see your messages, photos, or what you do inside other apps.
Purchases
- Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.
This website
If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address. It's stored using Google Forms and used to send you updates about Rilo, like when it launches. To be removed, email us and we'll delete it.
Deleting your data
In Rilo, go to the You tab → delete account, or delete the app. That erases what Rilo has saved on your iPhone.
Age requirement
Rilo is for people 13 and older.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Rilo changes, for example if we add features like accounts or syncing. When we do, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll let you know in the app.
